stock 4x4 struts

I need to know if you can switch out the struts on a 2wd 2005 f150 for the struts on a 4wd 2005 f150. I heard there a little taller. Has someone done this.

Why do you want to change your struts? Are you trying to lift the truck? If so, there are better ways to do it.
