This has been hashed over and over. Go to the chips section and read all the postings. You should all ready know what to get. I drove all the way from Michigan to have my truck Dyno tuned at Troyers. You won't be disapointed.

I think the final decision is based on two things.

1.) Are you going to make major changes to the motor that will require a "Custom Tune".......like a Supercharger, or other fuel/injector/intake changes? If yes, then an Xcal2 is the best option.

2.) Do you want the on-board gauge set, with the monitoring function, and the alarms feature, etc. If yes, The Edge is the best option as it is the only unit that offers this, at this time.

Right now, you can't have both.

Simple.

Gotta think about resale too. I would think the edge would be easier to sell private party. So if you didn't like it you could sell it to anyone with a 04-06.
I've never had a bad thing to say about my edge, and I've put it on about 3 of my bud's f-150s and each of them was totally impressed.
I'm going through this right now, but its the truck I'm selling first so I'm planning on selling the edge separtely when the time comes.

Not to bash you but I buy something because it's what I want, not because of how much I can sell it for. That's like buying a supercab over a regular cab because of resale value. I have no use for anything bigger than a regular cab and it's easier to manuever in parking lots, so I have a regular cab. If you can sell your personal preference easier than the alternative, that's a bonus if and when you decide to sell it. If you're worried about selling something before you even buy it, you probably shouldn't be buying it in the first place.

True, if your going to have this model truck forever. If not, why not consider it or factor it in..

Is yours an early build 04 F-150? I think the dealer can tell you your Strat[egy] code, if it's BME9 you can have mine. I'll give you mine for the price of the Edge.
