Brake Light Problems???.....

Has anyone had brake light issues where they only work when you push the pedal to the floor? I have to have the pedal pushed down all the way for the lights to work, a light or medium tap on it and they don't light up. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Sounds like the brake light switch is having some problems.

Take a look at the top of the pedal to make sure the switch does not have anything wrong with it. On my '06 it is a blue switch body, with a white plunger.

I barely take up the slack in the pedal, and I hear it click, and the brake lamps come on.

When you push down on the pedal, you will see the little white plunger move.
