Overhead dvd and leather partially installed!
Overhead dvd and leather partially installed!
Well i have been busy since i got home from vacation in Florida. First i washed the truck and installed my 20's back on. Then i started removing the back seat and removing the C pillar to see if i had wiring there for the overhead dvd. It was! All I had to do is make a harness to go over to the overhead rail system. I made a harness and installed the dvd player and it works perfectly. I can now run an Ipod into the aux. jacks if i want. So it can be done, but it's a pain to do. While i had the rear seat out I put my new leather covers on too. I now have a FX4 with the Lariat fold down arm rest! I also installed 5 washers under the rear seat frame mounts to lift the seat up so that my Musicmoose sub box will fit all the way under the seat now. I also found water under the drivers side rear door sill plate, and it is either the rear window leaking or the third brake light leaking
Now it looks like a trip to the dealer...

That sounds like a pain in the ***! well I'm just glad you didnt have to cut holes in the roof!, mine has the hole but no harness as you know well I guess I'll creoo that bridge when I get there, first things first I'm getting rid of my one ten and getting 2 tens like the guy on here Brypink.
Didn't yours say dvd prep package? if so, its up there. Check your window sticker to see if it is on there. You will have to go to the dealer and find out where to cut the hole into the head liner to get at it. Also didn't you change your head unit? If so, the factory dvd player wont work, you will have to buy the one that bolts to the rail, but it will be wired differently.
