Huh? Geesh man... nothing like that. It was just some basic immaturity between two members -- nothing directed at you.

Let's talk about lights please... not what was deleted or the immaturity/stupidity... um K?

Anyhow, I am still in a debate about whether or not to do this. Probably leaning more toward putting them on my boat trailer, but I dont know if I can seal them well enough to survive the water of a boat launch.
They're pretty watertight but you can use silicone to be sure. They work in VERY cold temps as well and have been through pretty bad weather. My install turned out perfect, very professional and works great. I couldn't be any happier. I think they'd be fine in water as long as you silicone the hell out of the transformers to be sure, and even the ends of the lights. When I get home I'll post some pics of the lights, those should do pretty well.

Josiah, any pics yet? Also, when I silicone the transformer, I am going to silicone around the seam, also where the wires go into the box, and I am going to assume where the wholes are on one side (it almost look like a speaker). Is that going to cause the box to overheat?

One more question Josiah, how did you attach these things to the vehicle. I know they come with some double sided tape but did you use something more reliable

No pics yet, but I went out and bought double sided tape about an inch or 3/4" wide. That worked flawlessly. I attached them to the undersides of the beds rails in between the lights (I had to use a little creativity as with the 5.5ft bed they won't exactly fit right). I don't think they'll overheat, especially if you'll be putting them in the cold water. I would do a real good job of getting them waterproof, better to use too much, also make sure the silicone is waterproof and for "Aqua/Marine" use. I also used double sided tape on the cathode light's ends to mount to the roof of the plastic bedrails. I used those in conjunction with zip ties and it works great, there are small hooks that fit zip ties perfectly, and they're about 11" apart so you can fit the 12" tubes perfect. Use clear zip ties so there is not a shadow where the zip ties are covering light.
