Besides the intake silencer removal mod, are there any other free mods to our trucks?

Free mods are mods to our trucks like removing the intake silencer, or modify some stuff on the truck to make it faster.

Mods that are free, due to the fact we don't have to buy them for our trucks. We just have to find them out.

And thanks for the link.

There's threads on it... do a search.
It's only for the 4.6L and it's removing a baffle-type silencer on the intake 90-degree tube.

Shortening the antenna and re-indexing the wipers are all I can think of.

I don't want to get into the fields of it all, but if you're just trimming it down, wouldn't that hurt reception?
The antenna length is set based on the frequency spectrum it is trying to tune in... I don't remember all the formulas, but there is a relationship.

I'm sure shortening the antenna screws the reception up, if you listen to the radio. I haven't listened to FM in a few yrs...repeat, repeat, repeat, 3 mins of commercials, mindless babble, repeat...(sorry for the rant) That and I'm tired of it scraping in parking garages, evil noise. Others have posted it scrapes on their garages. Not for everyone, but works for me. I left enough on there so if it hits and I'm daydreaming I don't hit the roof in a low garage. Wouldn't mind getting one of those antenna delete stubs on ebay, but $14 seems a lil steep.
