Recall Info

First I have not looked it up, but just a general question. I called to make an LOF appointment and they asked if I wanted the recall on the cruise control fixed too. I told them I was not aware of any recall on the cruise control, they stated that they would look at it when it comes for service. Does any one know of anything for a recall on a 04 f150 XLT? Thanks

Well, I just got a letter from my dealership, or a reminder for a regular tuneup, and it stated that I had no recalls. I have an '04 XLT Scab.

Your service advisor is an idiot. The cruise control recall effects 1996-2002 F-series, etc..

Is it possible that they didnt update your records in the system when you got the new truck and he still thinks you have the old one? In this case, it could be a legitimate question on his part. The cruise control system on the 04+ trucks is totally different that the previous ones. Drive by wire (ETC) versus a cable operated throttle on the old trucks.
