Bed Cover Choice!

I have a 2004 Ford F-150 Lariet 4x4 and have only found one problem with this wonderful truck.

That is that sometimes I want to haul things in the bed of my truck but it is raining so I can't.

Does anyone have any solutions to this and what ya'll think of the Tannou bed covers.

Thanks,
Michael

I have the Pace Arrow Jackrabbit on my Fx-4. I love it. I didnt go with the fiberglass cover beacause i still like hauling things in the back of my truck. Put it on myself but i would suggest having someone else help you out to hold and align the rails.

I recently purchased an Undercover tonneau and it’s great. Locks securely and it’s watertight. Weighs about 50lbs

How secure and weather tight is your Undercover ? I'm kind of looking for the same thing, had the fiberglass, the auto roll up aluminum and full toppers in the past, this time looking for something I can remove when need be.

Thanks

The Undercover is relatively secure - I work all the time in some large NY cities and haven't had an issue (maybe I've just been lucky??)....As far as watertight, its excellent. Has a nice gasket all the way around that mates up with the bedrails, tailgate, etc well. In the wintertime I can see the salt buildup on the edge of the rails but stops and where the gaskets meet them! I have a bedrug and have never noticed any water problems. (One thing I did was to silicone around the floor of the bed where the sidewall and front bed walls meet it.) Those gaps are a Ford issue though....

The Undercover cannot be beat for its price and ease of installation and piece of mind.

I have a leer toneuu bed cover and i love it so far.
I'll post pictures later so you can see what it looks like and they can also match the color number of your truck and give you the same color bed cover as your truck color.

Thanks for the info, and yes; Ford has some issues with gaps in the floor and at the tailgate. Definately need to seal it up.

Does the Undercover come down past the factory molding on the side rails, I looked at the pics of yours and it's hard to tell how far it comes down over the rails.

I also have an Undercover and another great feature is you can stand on it to wash/wax the roof. Cleans really easy.

Mine sits just above/just about even with the bedrails:

Hope those help a bit

I prefer the roll up softcover type. It gets out of the way of tall items which a hard cover will not do. Mine is a Access Lorado.

Easy install, simple to use. Selling one for a 6.5' bed, look below

Undercover.

I replaced the key rings with mini pad locks. A little better on security but mostly its just easier to remove the things.

Very water tight. I can wash and hose down the side of the truck and the contents of the bed stay dry.

Secure. Anything can be broken into but this is tough enough.

I think it looks great too.

I have a Extang Black Maxx with the extra tailgate seal. No leaks and easy to roll up if needed.
