Thumbs up Volant with Ram air tube installed!!

I installed the volant with the RAM-Air tube Yesterday and love it! Ram-air tube was a bit of a pain but overall the entire install took about 2 1/2 hours. I lined the inside of the Airbox with Dynamat, but I still feel a slight vibration in the sterring wheel. Like others have mentioned, the included instructions were not as helpful as those on the Volant website. I did a total of 9 0-60 runs prior to the install and after the install. Basically did the first 3 runs on the stock setting, the next 3 runs at level 3 without Volant, then last 3 on level 3 with the Volant. I have a passport G-timer taking times as well and they are pretty close to the Edge. I also have a Magnaflow SIDO. This truck is slug at stock, but I'm very pleased with all the mods working together.

Temp 65 Degrees
1/2 tank of 93
Screw
305/55/20

EDGE/G-TIMER

here are the results.

Stock
1- 9.13/9.19
2- 9.08/9.16
3- 9.15/9.22

Edge level 3
1- 8.56/8.62
2- 8.59/8.63
3- 8.60/8.65

Volant, Level 3
1-8.08/8.13
2-7.94/8.02
3- 7.91/7.98

Wasn't anything scientific about it, and I took a few minutes between every run.......took forever

Did you get the Ram-air tube? Its mainly designed for Highway driving, but I do feel a difference at 65 when I hit the gas. I figured I would give it a whirl considering I do alot of HW driving.

Good luck installing it and let us know how it all works out for ya!

Okay, Stupid question here

The volant ram air tube only works with the volant kit, right?? I have the K&N FIPK kit and would love this feature.

I don't think you guys are actually seeing the whole picture.

He owns an FTX. He is with out a doubt going to see a little more difference in an intake vs all of us.
