I got my new wheels/tires on with the Daystar
Hey guys....
I finally got it all together today. I got the Daystar 2.5 on finally and then mounted the wheels and tires. I love the new look.....its great. I went with the Nitto Terra Grapps in 325X13.50 60 18 with Eagle 178 series 18X9 Polished. There is a minor "rubbing" problem, but a little trimming and it should be good to go. Tell me what ya think of it. There are a few pics in my gallery and then the new pic in my signature. Next on the Mod list is a Westin Black powder coat bull bar w/ a couple of hella's.
Thanks,

Matt....the stockers are for sell. They have about 6,000 miles on them. Nothing wrong with them as you can see in the "stock" pics of my gallery. Name a price. Is it ok to talking about selling my tires in this forum?
Everyone Else....thanks for the compliments. New wheels and tires can really make a diffrence in the overall appearance of a truck. Unfortunatley I can already tell that I am gonna have to get a 6" lift because I just want it to be higher. It looks great, but I want the height.
About the DAYSTAR!!!
I thought that this was somthing that I could put on myself, but 5 hours into the project I realized that Ford springs were not meant to be compressed by hand. Its not that I did not have the know-how, I just did not have the right tools (spring compressors). I had two compressors on the sping at the same time and still was NOT able to get them compressed enought. Finally I said to hell with it and got the phone book out and started calling around. I found a good shop that would install the kit and do the alignment job for $150.00. This was money well spent and had I known I could have had it done that cheap to begin with I would have never attempted it myself. The Daystar is great and I have had no problems with it today as far as strange noises, but save yourself some trouble and go with the Autospring!!

Hmmmm..... Looks alot like mine!
Just a warning though, those polished aluminum wheels will be a pain in the *** to keep looking nice...... get ready for lots of hand polishing, or go buy the Mothers Power ball. I went with the chrome and they are very easy to maintain. I just wash them with car wash soap and dry them and they still shine like new.

I know that the polished will be tough to keep clean, but I have had many, many sets of custom wheels and they have all been polished alum. I hear that chrome is great....I've never had a set, but maybe someday.
VEGAN HUNTER......your truck looks real good!! I like the blacked-out look. I originally wanted a black FX4, but at the time the dealer could not locate an 05 with the options that I wanted so I settled for the true blue.
