Question King Shock Kit + 3 inch body lift???

anyone know a price or anywhere to buy the king shocks kit that replaces all the shocks? I got the idea of that with a 3 inch body lift and was trying to figure out what size tires i could fit, and how much lift id have. Because the site says 35" tires can fit with this kit....so a 3 inch body id think 37's atleast?

Last I heard that kit cost $2000-$2200.

Ok. as many of you know I am against body lifts if you are gonna actually going to go offroad. I assume if your gonna get the King Shock kit you will be offroading, correct? So..this would be a dumb idea. Your better off going with either a Fabtech or Procomp suspension lift with the spacers. Why spend tons of cash on coilovers when you arent going to use them offroad? Just my 5 cents.

Any coilover system is only good to 2.5". They cost a ****load, and unless you are made of $$$ your money is better spent elsewhere. If you want to run a King system, or any coilover for that matter, plus a body lift, it will net you MAX 5.5". You could fit a 35" tire.

Yup, 35s. People usually do a 3" body PLUS a leveling kit and run 35s.

Dude, either way spacers or body lift its not the BEST option. The best option would be a bigger suspension lift. However between spacers and a body lift, Id say the body lift would be MUCH better for your truck if you're going to use the truck and you plan on keeping it. The body lift isn't going to change any of your angles which only get put to more extreme angles once you're offroad. Im not saying a spacer is a horrible idea, because well I have the 1-1/2" AS on my truck right now. However, I don't get why people on this board love to bash body lifts when in all reality they arn't bad. I know way too many people with 6" susp. + 3" body and RAG their trucks offroad with no problems. Results may vary though. .

yeah....it was just a thought....cause the kit looks sooo tempting and darn good too......

but yeah...original and looks like same plan is to go with fabtech with rear dirt logics and 3 inch BL .....with 38's

yeah i dont get why people bash on body lifts either they arent bad...i mean look at Bigtruck311 and his f-150....same setup....older truck...and he does some mad off roading.....and his truck is FINE!

his truck gives me inspiration i absolutly LOVE his truck and yours Thumper....your stance of your truck just....makes the heavens shine light around it and then the angels in the backround hahahahahhahahaha

WHY run body lift and king coilovers...i would laugh at that set up.Older trucks would be fine but to show 3 full inchs of frame is just ugly.sorry my 2 cents

Ok I am NOT ragging body lifts if you arent going to tow anything, or dont mind relocating both your bumpers and not to mention the awesome gaps between your frame and the body. They just arent suitable for some applications. King Shocks and body lift should not be in the same sentence EVER!
I just know of at least 7 guys who have had trouble with body lifts. One of my buddies got in a accident and his whole cab flew off his truck due to the body lift weakening the points where the body and the chassis are bolted together. Another one of my buddies got rearended and his bed of his truck went through the rear of his cab and was sitting in his rear seat!
These may just be bad luck, but I would never put a body lift on a truck because the truck was not designed to have the body lifted off the chassis by a spacer. It obviousely weakens the bumpers and you cant tow anything unless you put a hitch on.
I just dont think this is worth it. I would just go with the Fabtech or Procomp kits like i said earlier. They wont weaken any part of the truck. You can get the spacer kit and easily run 35's. I have the 6" Procomp with coilovers and I run 35's easy!

Just installed the Kings front and rears: $2000.00 plus shipping. Awesome kit, the best quality I've ever seen, and I've installed alot of lift kits. The ride quality is excellent as well. I do notice I have some "knocking" when I travel over small bumps at slow speeds, but I'm trying to figure out what's causing this noise. Other than that, I love the way my truck looks and feels with this kit.
