Any Fat Mat users? Thoughts?

Well after searching and snooping around ebay I saw this sound dampner called Fat Mat. I have heard pros and cons of Ultimate B-Quiet and I have Dynamat Xtreme on my doors I like it but its spendy as you all know.
Fat Mat on ebay is $100 for 50sq ft.and comes with cleaner for greasy areas and a roller as well. Much more for DM for the same amount I am sure. I want to put some on the wall behind the rear seats, line my Volant box, and the rest wherever.
So whos used it? Thoughts?

Fatmat is crap. I had it fall off in my old car. I'd personally stay away from anything asphalt based. use raammat instead its byutl based.

Hmmm interesting. The advertisement(and a long one it was) on ebay said it was byutl(sp) based

they are lying unless they REALLY changed their product (which I doubt)

taken direct from their site:

Rubberized Compound-Fatmat sound deadener has a rubberized compound that is fused with a 1 mil Acrylic PSA "Pressure Sensitive Adhesive" Backing. This is the barrier used to absorb the nasty noises you don't want to hear (Rattles, Road Noise, Ect). The PSA backing is strong and very effective in keeping your mat where you want it. Unlike other products on the market with Fatmat you will not need any heating guns or other tools to install fatmat, it's made to form and fuse to just about any surface possible, and it adheres better than any other mat on the market as our customers all agree. The last thing you want is for your mat to fall off in a week after you worked so hard installing it right? The nightmares of using other brand mats would make anyone wish they had used fatmat first.

lol, my fatmat fell off in a week. can I have my money back?

Thanks for the info. Well it seems to be down to checking out the raammat or I will just have to suck it up with the Dynamat Xtreme. Its expensive but it performs well.
I will look into the raammat though thanks.

Second Skin Damplifier is the way to go. It's what I used and have had no problems with it. But, I've said this before.

What is the best place to get damplifier? I want to use a quality product but also get the best deal on it too.

Call up Tony and tell him what your project is and how much you want to order...then ask if he's offereing any discounts. I got 20% off on top of a sell they were having a few months back.
