Removing Rear Cats
Its really getting close to me pulling the trigger on this one. However, Im just looking at this from a warranty stand point. Whats the likely-hood of them even noticing the rear cats missing? Im just not sure if I should push for my cam phaser to be replaced before I do it or not. My motor blows up, and Im screwed. What do you guys think? Im NOT looking for stupid opinions or answers but just some helpful ones. Thanks!
If you don't ever have any warranty exhaust related concerns, it prolly won't matter a flip.
They don't even have to put the truck on a lift to replace the cam phaser, so your dealer prolly won't even notice.

Dont think that the benefits are greater than the possible consequences here. Just my opinion. I would be sweating bullets everytime I thought that I may have to take the truck in for service. You wont gain much sound by removing the cats, or horsepower.

I may be wrong, nut I would like to see dynos of 25 hp gains just from cats, that would be sweet though, maybe its true. But if they know about your tuner and dont say anything, then why would they say anything about your cats being removed, if they ever see them?
