Question about nav for 04

So I havent decided which I am going to get yet, the pioneer N3 or the eclipse but either way, to be able to watch movies while on the move and I read people saying they ground their system, are they just referring to connecting the system to the metal chassy for that ground, or is there something else you have to do so you can watch while in motion not just parked?

Thanks!

You have to ground a specific wire in order to fool the unit into thinking you are parked when yo are moving in order to play movies while driving. If you check the Nav forum and ask this question there, someone can tell you which wire to ground for your particular unit.

P.S. Nice member name, are you associated with the web site by the same name?

agree...check the audio forums. The short answer is this:
It Depends.
It depends on the age of the unit, the brand, etc. The earlier Kenwoods and Alpines you could bypass with the ground wire that was supposed to be connected at the parking brake.
Ground the green wire, and voila - movies on the go.
The newer units have the DVD playback integrated into their nav system through the speed sensor. It will require a code bypass to get it to work. Check the boards, I am sure this has been done, it will just take some due diligence.
