Question Removing AMBER Reflector in Headlights?

So... at first I was ok with it, but now I really want it gone. Can it be done?

I like my stock headlights/output very much, and do not want a new assembly.

Is there an aftermarket clear reflector/replacement piece that can be installed in place of the amber piece on the corner of the headlight assembly?

And if so, does it compromise the seal of the headlight permenently to install it?

Thanks!

I had this EXACT thought the other day...
I did find these on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8056550100 but I'd rather just replace a $2 reflector... lol

Yes removal of the amber can be done. We rated it the best mod for the buck since it was more or less free. But you have to break the amber up to get it out.

I gave away the cleared set I had because I needed some color to break up the black and chrome.

Someone did a writeup on it on another website (not sure if I am allowed to post it here). But you basically, pop out the reflector from the outside in. So its basically floating around the inside of your headlight assembly. Then you have to use tools to break it up into small enough pieces to get out of the headlight assembly. But the one downfall that keeps me from doing it is the good possibility of scratching the inside of the headlight lense while breaking up the reflector.

This isn't "the" article for which I was looking, but it does apply.
