Disable seat belt dinger

Can anyone tell me how to disable the dinger for the seat belt on an 06 screw? I know, I know buckle the seat belt. Seriously, there has to be a way. Sometimes I just run right up my neighborhood street and don't buckle. Just wondering if this were possible. Just gets annoying sometimes. I know, somebody is going to have to give the safety spill. Like I said, just wondering if you can do this. Even when you are just sitting in your driveway working on something with the truck running.

Thanks

Yeah -- it's in your manual.

I'd tell you exactly how I did it, but can't for the life of me remember what the process was. I do remember that it involved buckling and unbuckling the seat belt about 10 times, and dipping your toe in cool water and waving it out of the passenger-side window after each unbuckle....

I did this on both my '05 F-150, and the wife's '05 Escape, the first weekend I had the vehicles. I also de-programmed the vehicles so that the door locks don't automatically lock when you put it in gear and drive away (I HATE THAT FUNCTION!) and programmed-up the maximum number of replacement keys for each ride so I would never get caught "high and dry" with only (1) programmed key....

I did the same. For my remote start, I needed to bury a 3rd key due to the micro chip inside. Long story short, I asked the dealer how to program the extra key, he said that I had to pay $50.00 per hour to have them do it.. I wasn't taking that for an answer, after bitching him out, he reluctantly told me that I could find the same steps in my owners manual!

I said " thanks hun, that's all I wanted, have a nice day!"

I swear.. some guys think that we don't know any better because we are GIRLS!!! I'll prove them wrong every time.

1) Turn the car on, but not the ignition
2) Wait about a minute for the seatbelt icon to go off
3) Buckle and unbuckle your seatbelt 9 times (must be done within 50 seconds)
4) The seatbelt icon will come on again
5) Buckle and unbuckle your seatbelt one more time (must be done within 10 seconds of the icon showing up again)
6) Get out of your car, do the Macarena and the Hokey Pokey simultaneously
7) Run around your truck 3 times on a Tuesday in front of a pizza shop while it is raining

Choices 6 and 7 are optional, by the way.

Disclaimer. This is not a flame, rather just an observation.
It amazes me the number of threads that have been started on this subject. There must be at least 25-30. When I bought my '04 and the seatbelt dinger started driving me nuts, the first thing I did was look in the owners manual to see if there was a way to disable it.

Just an observation.

Don't know if step #0 ( parking brake set ) is required to be done or not.

Should that not be the Airbag Icon on the dash. There is a 3 x per second vs 4x per second to show if it is enabled or diasable for that position. Can be done both on the driver's side and the pass side ( if you want both off, must be done seperatly ).
