Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for the audiophile sub's amp to the wiring from the headunit? I disconnected the audiophile sub so i could make measurements. The plastic piece holding the wires in place feel off and now i dont know which wire is which.

well that didnt seem to work. In that diagram, it shows to connect 5 wires. I have 7 wires to connect. Also, The only way I can identify these wires is by color and gauge size, so I really dont know which one goes where.

hmm, whoever made that diagram could be wrong then?

I did another search for you and found this diagram which comes straight from the Ford service manual, it shows 8 wires used?:

the above diagram is correct. At least it is the same as the plug in my 04. The only pins hooked up are 1,2,5,7,8 pin 3 is the same as pin 2 & pin 6 is the same as pin5

If the wires fell out of the connector, you'll have to replace/repair the connector, there is obviously something wrong with it. It would be agreat help to know what vehicle you have. Perhaps you should be taking the (insert name of vehicle here) to the dealer or a sound shop.

That looks like the correct diagram. It's the same one I used.

Also, the "shield" wire, circuit 57 that comes off the HU, makes no connection to the sub in 06, but does in 04 and 05.

One other note, I originally purchased a Metra harness to connect an aftermarket sub, but never got it to work. metra doesn't give pinouts, only wire colors. After buying the Ford connectors and using the shop manual, I discovered metra had their connectors 180 degrees out, hopefully I only damaged my old Sony amp and not my audiophile HU.
There is a difference between 04-05 and 06
