I've had good luck using Carbon Metallic brake pads. They are easy on rotors. I had problems with warpping rotors all the time on my 97 150, but after going to the C/M pads they never warpped again. They are bad with dust though. Also try this, when braking at a light or when you have to brake hard and know that you are building up a lot of heat, try stopping earlier to allow the truck to keep rolling real slow. That way you aren't keeping the hot pads in one spot on the rotor, which can cause metal to transfer and cause it to vibrate or warp. (credit to Fredvon btw)

the torque is 150. the reason for this is the stud is 14x2. it is a very large stud with corse thread. torque them to 70 and your just asking for the wheels to fall off.
