Wheel/Tire Question

I am working with a local 4x4 shop on installing my 2.5" Autospring leveling kit and will buy my wheels and tires from him also. I will be putting 20" wheels on and have been talking with him about tire sizes. I have pretty much decided on Toyo M/T and thought I would move up to a 33" tire. He is telling me I could go as high as a 35" (35 12.5 20) with my leveling kit if we did a bit of trimming.
My question is since my truck has 3.55 gears and if I went to this much higher of a tire, could I get away without regearing the truck to probably 4.10 or would I risk transmission damage as I would probably see a considerable loss of low end torque which puts extra load on the transmission when I would be accelerating.

Which engine do you have? Personally, I'd stick with 33's.

Personally I would go with 33's, especially since you 3.55's. Plus I think that 35's with the 2.5" kit look goofy, too much tire and and not enough room for them, IMO. I have 325/60/18's (33X13X18) and a 2.5" autospring kit. I think the 33" tire and 2.5" kit look killer together. Take a look in my sig for pics.
