what do you think of wheel spacers?

I was thinking about putting a 1"1/4 wheel spacers on my truck with the factory fx4 18" wheels. Has anyone done this before? Is there anything bad that these could do to the truck?

Could someone photo-shop a pic to see what it would look like?

Sorry best picture I have.

i dont know if anyones done it, but a general concensus would say (or what i've read in the wheels forums) that they'd opt not too as you're adding undo width/stress on the axle...

I think spacers are like taking asprin for a chainsaw wound. I don't like 'em.
