4x4 Solenoid Fuse Keeps Blowing!

This in turn causes my front driveshaft to spin as it disables the solenoids vacuum crossover, so there is no vacuum to disable the hubs. This is probably equalling worse gas mileage (although I haven't noticed yet). I don't know why it blows but it's done it twice now, I'm not going to throw a bigger fuse in there (I believe it's a 10amp) unless it's safe. The other side effects from this blown fuse is the 4x4Hi light does not come on when engaged (thankfully the 4wd still works though). What causes constant blown fuses?

By the way, those fuses that light up when they're blown, are miracle workers. It's a PITA the get the fuses out of our fusebox without a puller to check them, I am constantly replacing my fuses with those type when they blow, thankfully I did it this time as well.

Any help is appreciated and rep will be given if a solution is found, thanks again.

Possibly a loose wire that is grounding itself out?

Thats a perfect possible reason, what is the best way to follow the wires that go out behind the fusebox, I can't seem to follow the wire all the way back there, I believe it heads back to the PCM after the fusebox. In other words, comes from behind the solenoid, to the fusebox back out to the engine bay into the PCM.

Im not familiar with the f150 fuse box and stuff yet. But i had problems like this with another car. Did you have to disconnect any wires that lead to it or anything when you did the lift? Must also be able to find someone with a full wire diagram to show where the wires lead to.

That diagram would be helpful. It was blown before the lift because I've had that damn 4x4hi light disabled forever.

This could be why you thought your truck was so slowed compared to others.

:P I know, but I was getting great mileage on the highway at one time (pre-lift). I wonder if I could hit those 6 seconds again if this stays fixed.
