They probably planned all these upgrades 5 or 6 years ago just to keep us upgrading. If only I could have waited...

improved fuel economy -

improved a/c compressor - what is improved about it?

next gen. ABS system - how many years is it going to take to get to the same standards as the european vehicles? i guess anything better than TRASH is an improvement. and i had to pay for it! maybe the next gen will actually have 4 WHEEL abs.

i think the best way ford engineers/designers can improve their vehicles is to spend alittle time on forums such as this one. and actually listen to the customer.

Don't we already have 4 wheel ABS?

I'm interested to see some of the new colors, although at least two of them (Redfire and Pueblo Gold) are long-time Ford colors.

The audio input for the radio is long overdue.

I agree -- the A/C compressor in this vehicle is extremely lacking. I have a regular cab truck and running the A/C in it should just about drive you out of there. Instead, I have to run around with it on one of the higher blower settings just to keep things tolerable!

these trucks don't have 4 wheel independent abs. that's what they like you to believe. my modulator only has 3 outputs...2 for the rear and 1 for the front to which they split to both front wheels. the problem with this system is when 1 front wheel locks up, the abs module releases pressure to the front channel, which also releases pressure to the other front wheel that still has traction. mind you this all happens very quickly, but another way for ford to make a buck.

I want the navigation system. My wife has that in her LS and had it in her Aviator and it's awesome. Not trying to knock the aftermarket units or those of you that have them, but I like the look of the factory system.

I agree about the A/C not being upto par. Mine barely blew cool air before I had it recharged and now it barely blows cold.

I saw a HD at work the other day and the mirrors and handles did look good. The HD logo on the bed was covered with black tape, but you could make out what it said. The letters H A R L E Y - D A V I D S O N were spread out w/ about 2-3 inches between them and the entire logo was about 2ft long... maybe a little obnoxious, but I'll have to see it uncovered.

I beleive I also saw the white chocolate Lariat on the road with a manufactures plate on it. It also had painted to match door/tailgate handles w/ a chrome strap and a factory billet grille. So it looks like the new Lariats will have the handles that we've all been adding.

Is this color coming to the F150 also? I thought it was only for the Mark LT. It would be nice if it did come to the F150, with its painted handles. Then there's the hope that all Lariats get the painted handles, and they still offer the Lariat in Aspen Green. Then my switch would be super easy!

Anyone know about 07' availability? I am thinking of getting an 06' but may wait if the 07' has a 5 speed tranny.

Wink NAV in '07

I agree with a few of the others here. The NAV system has been far too long in arriving. Of course, it's that little addition that could make me trade my '04...

Improved A/C Compressor - if it's quieter than mine, it's an improvement.

I don't think the a/c output has anything to do with the compressor, but more to do with the new refrigerant.

Riken, you do realize that some brands have drum brakes standard in the rear now. . Ford isn't doing TOO bad.

Yes, but the brakes on the new f150 are way better than the previous f150's.

So it's still an improvement, albeit there's still room for further improvement.

Perceptually, the A/C in my 2004 F-150 sucks, but when I've measured it with instrumentation, it is working fine. Might be low vent airflow speed combined with the big cabin space.
