The tow hooks are not a big deal to me. I can live without them plus I know if I go with the Roush I would want to either buy or have my hooks chromed to match the chrome on my HD grille so that just adds to the difference between the two valances as well.

Very true my good man and I am not trying to clone a HD anyways it just so happens that there are some pretty good parts to use. I wish they would make a FS HD though so I could buy the wheel moldings to fit the rear of the truck since I have been told the styleside and flareside rear wheel moldings/flares are a different shape. I want smooth Lariat flares, grrrrrr.

Does anybody know how flemsy the roush bumper is? It looks plastic. I hope it's the same material as my chrome Lariat bumper but I doubt it, this bumper gets hit every now and then, thats why I need a sturdy but better looking one.

Maybe RoushLT will chime in sometime since he has the Roush Lower. Im sure its the same as most lower valances such as the HD.

i was checkin out a HD at the dealership today, and i looked at the valance real close... its made from a really stiff plastic much like the existing pieces on our trucks, just painted and a lot sexier. i'm assuming the roush is plastic as well, but its probably just as strong as the existing valances.

I have my Roush valance in the shop for paint right now, I pick it up (along with my front and rear color matched bumpers, woot) and I will post pics. I will say it was VERY flimsy though... not that it matters, but since you were curious, it is quite soft- softer than the stock lower piece.

Thanks for the heads up on the thicknessof the valance. I think I will be going with the HD lower and keep my eyes open for the Roush lower grille insert if I can ever get my hands on it as a seperate piece.

I like my 05 fog lights over the 06 still but one thing I do dig is the smaller lower grille opening. You dont really need to sweat putting any insert in there. I think it looks good as is open since its not as big as the 04-05 lowers.
Just something I was checking out a bit closer looking at your pics. I like.

I agree, no need to do anything to the 06 bumpers opening..The one thing I like more about the 06's fogs are the black fog brackets which can be seen in front of the fog lens...matches better IMO whith the black HD headlamps..just a lil detail But since your bumper is DSG im sure it would not show as much..

Like Lumadar said, the Roush spoiler is very flimsy, but when installed, it is sturdy. I had problems with my paint adhering well to my spoiler, so it is going back to the paint shop along with the lariat fender flares and mirrors in a couple of weeks. I like the look of the roush, but I think the truck needs something on the sides to help accent it. I've been searching for good looking, paintable running boards for quite some time and haven't found anything that I cared for. I finally found something I think I'll go with, and they are the painted running boards on the FX2.

Either spoiler looks great, much better than stock. I think the Roush looks a little sportier, but I wouldn't be upset if I had gone with the HD either.

When I swap out valances or maybe swap to a 06 bumper if funds allow that is probably the time I am going to do what I mentioned in a previous thread and have my DSG areas painted black. I think it will look 1. different then the norm 2. match at the black trim/mouldings 3. I like silver and black

If I could get my hands on a HD take off man that would be soooooooo sweet then i would not have to paint bumper and valance.

Im still trying to find out if the rear wheel moldings on a flareside are different then the styleside because I would like to get Lariat moldings instead of having to get the crap smoothed out of the FX4 ones.

I posted a few photochop pics in my gallery that has the DSG areas painted black and some Eagle 22s I like. I think they look a bit bigger in the pic but you get the idea. Peace out!

HD!!!!! The HD one is flimsy as hell before you install it also. It was actually shipped in a box that was about half its size and was folded up to fit in there. But there are about 14 bolts that hold it in place so it is very sturdy when installed.

VVVVVVV -----This was before I added the G.A.P. grill.....
