Installation Question

Hi guys,

I'm a fairly new member who enjoys reading the posts and learning new things about my truck on this forum. It's great. I have a question on air intakes. There seem to be thousands of posts on air intakes and I've done the searches and seen a lot of them but not anything on my question.
My question is: When you instal an air intake do you disconnect the battery to let the computer reset itself? What's the difference if you do or not?

Thanks

Most intake instructions tell you to. I did when I installed my Volant CAI. It is always a good idea when you are unplugging electronic modules under the hood. It only takes a few minutes to reset your radio.
