Brake rotor question

I went to 3 different brake places today to price out a couple of things. I asked what they would charge to turn the rotors and put on new pads. 2 out of the 3 places said that our rotors could not be turned due to something with the electonic hubs. Is this true? I have never heard of that. I guess I thought all rotors could be turned. As everyone knows I am installing a set of American Racing wheels Sat. and I would like to get rid of that nasty *** brake dust. If this is the case I guess I need to be looking at OEM rotors or Aftermarket rotors. Any ideas? I see there are alot of aftermarket rotors out there. I looked at my front brake pads and they seem to be wearing great. Should I just take my chances and put on the new pads without replacing the rotors?

I was told I could resurface the rotors no problem (but very little). Definitely look into that, it's much cheaper. I paid about 200 for a set of rotors (duralast I believe). Anyways, I put ProAct Ceramics on my truck (cheaper than porterfields but exactly the same result). I have NO brake dust whatsoever, haven't cleaned my truck in weeks (since the lift installation) and no squealing either. I am in a crisis, maybe someone will read this. I need 2 caliper bolts, both fell out of one caliper after the lift (they might have been stolen or just wiggled out as they weren't tightened...who knows). I am getting a grinding noise right now and have to keep pushing the calipers back on (I decided to get a bolt from the other caliper and have one on each side a as a temp fix). It's not as bad as you think, but the caliper slides a bit off on one side and rubs on my 18's. Those bolts from the dealer are $37 each. Anyone able to get them cheaper, I'll pay shipping. I can't find them on Fastpartsnetwork.com.

Thanks & good luck to you.

I had mine turned two weeks ago. There is even an etching on the rotor that I think says 28mm, which means if the width of the rotor is below 28mm, they cannot be turned. But if it's above, they can. Mine were measured and turned for $12 each.
