Maybe I get too carried away in painting plastic and the likes, a call to a body shop or two might prove very useful in getting the correct info.

Thing with painting over the Chrome ( again as I have done it, and understand it..could be wrong / not needed ) is that you need ALL the shine gone. None left on the surface, for the primer to hold correctly. If you just rough it up, it could wind up with an area that the primer lets loose on later, which if that is the case, would case paint flaking.

Again, this is what I have been doing for years, which in itself does not make it correct / required.

Hope it is easier then this, do start dialing your bodyshop(s) of choice and ask them.

Good luck

Uh-oh...I am thinking those would look good on my Black and Yellow "Steelers Edition" truck.

Nice work - can't wait to see them with the tires mounted and on the truck.

There really weren't too many other options. It was basicly the Nitto or the Irok and The Irok was cheaper, so i decided to give it a shot.

I still have to figure out what to do with the center caps. any ideas?

Ill post pictures Next week when I get the tires in.

For some reason I cannot see your photos from your 2005 gallery.

Bump I guess on this old thread, had some questios. Did you ever get your caps done?
So do you have just a leveling kit or more than that? ALso do you have any rubbing? Last where did you order your tires from?

Bump again for this thread because the truck is beautiful. One question. How wide are the factory 20" rims? If you are going with 13.5 width I imagine they are 10" wide rim?

I did the same powdercoating mod to my FX4 18" wheels. They have a really nice glossy finish to them, and the powdercoating is almost bulletproof. For the centercaps, I took some 30 grit sand paper and worked the caps over a little bit. I then primed them with a spray primer. I located some gloss balck spray paint that almost perfectly matches the gloss on the wheel. Like em? Check the classifieds. More pics in my gallery.
