Loose Headliner Rattle

Lately my wife and I have noticed that when we close the doors on our truck the headliner rattles pretty loud. You can push on the center of the headliner and it will move and make the rattle.

Anyone else have this problem? Probably should take it to the dealership. This would be our first warrenty claim.

Looks like you have the moonroof from looking at your gallery. Some F-150's with the moonroof had a rattle when closing the doors or going down a bumpy road. Didn't have it on mine, but here's a thread related to this problem. I think there is a TSB for the rattle, but a fellow (scroll down to post #10) fixed his easily.

Wow! That was fast. I think I'm doing to just do the fix myself. Sounds really easy!

Thanks to everyone who replied.

I can report that the "beer and carpet" shim is still in place and working like a champ some 17K miles since I installed it.
