Anyone have LED bulbs in signals?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-AMB...52972523QQrdZ1
Just curious if anyone is using LED bulbs like these in their turn signals/ brakes, etc. If so, how are they?

I have them in another car...the red ones are bright and the amber ones are a bit lighter. They make your signals TURBO speed...instead of tic toc tic toc...its tictictictictictic.

That can be fixed with some load equalizers that I have used in the past and they work great. I had some LED's in the front signals and they worked pretty good. Not as bright as a regular bulb when flashing but looks normal when just on. Taillights seemed to be dangerous, as you could hardly tell when you are braking or not.

Matt, were they like the ones in the auction? Or were they the type that only have the led's pointing toward the end of the bulb? I figured these would be much better since they have led's pointing out towards the sides to fill in the reflector like a regular bulb would.

I had the ones that had leds around the side facing the side and on the face facing forward (duh).

Anyhow...I only used them as signals and not as a dual fillament type of bulb. Worked fine since it was coming out of a clear lense.

Mine were the "matrix" style 3157 amber bulbs sold at autolumination.com. They have a total of 25 LED's, some pointing forward and also 6 LED's pointing back into the reflector....here is a pic.......

They have recently came out with another type that has 32 LED's called the Matrix II, here is a pic of them....

Email me and we'll talk about the ones I have laying around.

Thats what I have on my other car...32 LED one. Works fine...but I still think the Amber doesnt shine as bright as the red (or maybe the red is just a bit more noticable)???
