My New Ride

hey there, just signed onto this site recently. I just picked up a 06F150 FX4 Supercrew about 1 1/2 weeks ago.

I am thinking of doing the 2 1/2" leveling kit and adding 33"

Welcome Viper Girl. Congrats and make sure you get some pics and start yourself a gallery.
What part of NC are you from? Lots of info on this board and probably the best advice I can give starting out here is if you have a question use the search drop down first and 90% its been covered and you will find what you need. If not then let it rip.
Other then that welcome and let the mods begin

What part of VT are you from? *Never mind I looked at your profile. BTW where is Cornwall? *I grew up in St.Albans. I have lived most of the past 17yrs in NC though thanks to Uncle Sam.

I recommend going with the 2 inch Autospring myself. I got it and it's perfect. I also have 33 too. Alot of people have been complaining about the spring hitting the control arm. If you plan to do any towing, the 2 inch would be better. Nice truck also!

Welcome to the finest F150 community on the net. Here you will find some great advice, the occasional flame war, and alot of poking fun. BTW nice color choice.

You should be able to fit 33" tires on those stock 18" wheels without any suspension mods. However if you are looking to level the stance of your truck several options await. Daystar, Autospring, Tuffcountry, Donahoe, Trailmaster... the list goes on. I pesonally went with the Autospring 2.5" which put my truck about level. If you still want a bit of rake then I recommend the 2" or 1.5" kits.

Everyone yells about using the search function to look for topics that have been hammered in the past. This is a useful tool but feel free to post questions that you may have as many members here are very friendly and will respond regardless.

Nice truck. Looks a lot like my '05 FX4. Black looks awesome, but it requires a lot TLC to stay looking good. After owning 3 black F-150's in a row, I got sick of washing and waxing them all of the time.
