4X4 coilovers on a 4X2

I just talked to the guys from procomp and they said that the 4X4 coilover might be longer than the 4X2 coilover. He said it would be a good idea to put those on my truck to keep my height and get a nice cushy ride. Anyone done this? Or have any 4X4 promcomp coilovers they wanna sell or trade for the 4X2's?

I'm not sure about the cushy part, the 4x4 coils are stiffer then the 4x2's.

The 4x4 coilovers are different than the 4x2 coilovers the part number for the coilover for a 4x2 with a 6" lift is the same part number for the 4x4 with a 0-1" lift. So you probably can use the 4x4 with 6" lift shocks to maintain you ride hight with them fully uncrancked, but I don't know what kind of ride you will have. You might be able to use one of the custom applications.

I would try and get more specs on them before you spend money for something that may not be what you want.
Good luck
