access to radio.....

I remember reading here about "how to" on removing the center trim piece to access Ford radio system...I need to use the aux port for my navigation system. Thanks FYI it is 2004 FX4 with floor shift

Open the ashtray and put your fingers up under the center trim piece on the bottom right hand corner, and pull. That's it. Be gentle though, or you might break one of the clips like I did.

You just gotta pull. I too have the floor shift and I found it easiest to start at the top where it meets the dash tray. Work your way down slowly.
