Why NOT Superlift?

Just wondering if anyone has this kit and what their review is. All I've heard is "no" when someone's asked if they should get it without an explanation as to why it is not a good kit. I talked to a friend of mine that has owned a truck accessories shop and been installing lifts for years and he recommended it.

Superlift's products flat out are not up to par with everyone else's products.

And what are you basing this off of? Not saying you are wrong or right. Like I said my friend has been doing it for many years (he's old enough to be my dad and I'm 23) and he has seen many of these companies evolve and knows many people in the different companies. He said that what many people don't know is that there are a lot of suspension companies that just put their name on a Superlift kit. I asked him which ones and he just smiled and said he couldn't tell me which ones b/c that my give away too much info on the kits he sells (those include Rough Country, Tough Country, Rancho, Fabtech, and Skyjacker). I don't know. I was just seeing why all I've heard is no from people on here and FTW but people who lift trucks everyday recommend Superlift. It doesn't matter to me either way.

Because I've seen many parts on Superlift equiped vehicles fail in all the wrong places and at the wrong time. Im sure they've got better at fabricating lifts, but I wouldn't put my money in them.

I know someone with a Superlift on his Jeep, definitely not a bad kit but it's stiff as *****.

Superlift makes good lift's for some vehicles, but their kit for our trucks is not made as good as others(Fabtech,Rancho,CST...) their subframe is rolled steel that is slightly thin, better support from fully welded ones. But there are a few other things that could be better with all lift kits.

When I looked at the installation instructions for this kit, it looked like there was more cutting than the other kits. I don't like the idea of cutting up my truck which is one of the reasons aside from money that I don't have a lift yet.
