I am right at 16 mpg for my first 3 tanks that I kept stats for. I have slightly over 2000 miles on my 2006 SCREW right now. I drive 40 miles round trip for work each day and probably another 40-50 miles on the weekends. Of that 90% of it is highway mileage so looking forward to a slight increase in highway mileage once the truck is fully broken in.

So it looks like my mpg is a little low. Any suggestions as to why? What is the best mod to make to help mpg? Thanks.

I don't think the consensus here says you're low. I think the consensus is that you're truck hasn't broken in yet. Hell, I'm at near 5000 miles, and from what people are saying, my truck isn't fully broken in yet either.

Give it some time.

My 2004 5.4L with just over 36000 miles, all city driving I am seeing about 12.5. Not bad , certainly not great. BTW gas went up to $3.78/gallon here today.

I get exactly 14 mpg mostly highway driven. 7500 miles. I think Ford over-rates their gas mileage on these trucks just a litte

my 04 has 15k now I get about 12 mpg no matter what. Does not matter if I baby it or put my foot to the floor. That is all city driving and with 4X4.
