2006 Super Cab Tranny Question

I just wanted to see if anyone else has this issue or should I get it looked at?

When my truck is cold, just after I start it, if I put it in drive right away it seems to go in kind of hard. If it warms up for a few minutes you cant hardly feel it go in to gear. Should I just try to let it idle longer before putting it in gear?

Is the idle speed still high because you didn't let it warm up?

Mine does the same thing, I just let it idle until the rpm drops below 1000 and it's fine.

same here, one of the many reasons why i got remote start. that way i can let er warm up and when i go get in i dont have to wait for er to idle down. when i do key start it though i do wait for it to idle down below 1k rpms

It's cold and on fast idle. Don't worry about it, sounds normal to me.
