Anyone have a high fast idle?

Usually when I start the truck (5.4), it starts at an RPM of about 1800, and over what seems like a long time, it finally starts to drop. I don't know if it will be lower once it warms up or not, but none of my other Ford autos have ever done this.

My cold idle starts out around 1600-1700 RPM and usually drops to 1000 after a minute or so. Sounds normal to me.

The colder it gets the faster/longer it's going to run. When it gets to -30 C my 5.4 has hit about 2000 RPM and stayed there for a good 2 or 3 minutes before slowly dropping to about 800. It's set up like this to help heat up the converters so they start working as quickly as possible.
