Today I was getting on the interstate and I punched it coming off the on-ramp. The only problem was, when I put it to the floor, it was like the truck stalled out for just a sec. I let off and floored it again and took off. This was the first time it has happened and the only time. Anyone else have this happen to them? Do you think I've got a problem or just some little fluke that might never happen again?

Yes. I had one probably last fall. My truck has 20k on it and I'd say I had it done on the 2nd oil change. But like I said, that was the first and only time its ever done that so IDK.

 

whats your gas tank at? any chance it may be low? think we had diff. issues today- took off from a light today, and laid 6' rubbber with my 33 m/ts...with only an exhaust. hope your experience was just a fluke!

 

Have you replaced the fuel filter? Its due at 15K.
That problem could be any number of things ie: fuel pressure, coil pack, dirty injector, MAF sensor, etc etc etc.

 

I don't know if they replaced the fuel filter at my last service. My gas was at about 1/4 of a tank. I wouldn't think that is too low but who knows.

Balog, how are you laying rubber? Mine will hardly even chirp 'em with just a Magnaflow cat back. Also, how do you like your Toyo's? I want a very aggressive tire but I want a very street friendly (quiet and one that will last a while). I would like BFG MT's but they don't come in 33x18's and I like yours too.

 

hmm it shouldnt be gas then- lol, thats why i said it, i have no clue how i laid two strips, but sure as daylight, they're there. never happened before with them on. the tire is great though- they're quiet, they're super aggressive-and treadlife- well they've got about 11,000miles on them and the treads are still over 1/2" deep.

 

Mine has done that when going up a hill and increasing on the throttle. Its been brought up by a few members. Just a downfall of the throttle by wire under the right conditions. After I installed the edge it hasn't done it since.

 

Its happened to me a few times before I got the edge. It could be the fuel and all that stuff and since you floored it but there is a bit of a throttle lag without flooring it. The edge really helps
