edge of seat wearing

I have an 04 Lariat with tan leather seats, I recently noticed the color on the beading on the edge of my drivers seat wearing off a little from sliding in and out about 6 times a day. Does the tan color show up worse than black? How do yours look? I was wondering if Ford will replace it before my 3 yr warranty expires.

I doubt they will cover it as it is considered wear and tear.

Easy. Ford's leather just flat out sucks! They might cover it under warranty though, my dealer is putting all new leather in my mother's 04 EB Expedition and they'll probally end up putting all new leather in mine here soon. Im pretty sure they don't make the 04 version of the tan, anymore correct? So, they'll have to re-do ALL of the leather in my truck so it all matches.

Mine is black and it's been OK so far. I would however, help delay the wear and tear process by keeping your leather cleaned and using a good leather conditioner like Lexol often. This will help keep the leather moist and plyable (sp?) helping to ward off cracking, drying, and color fading. The leather quality is what it is so any maintenance care on it will only help.

I think next time I need warranty service I am coming over to DeLand. They seem to cover everything for you over there.
My dealer wouldnt cover my buddies truck because it had a K and N filter on it.
