What tires would you put on?

Dealer/Ford will replacing a 4 of my 18" Goodyears and the dealer will let me pick any any other tire ones I want, I only pay the diff. if it's higher and they will keep the stock replacements from Ford. So what would you put on to replace the Goodyear ones? and why.

thanks,

We have the same truck. I put the BFG A/T 285-65-18's . Search around and you will find nothing bad about these tires. I owned several sets over the years and loved them. Great traction and usually last 60-70k with proper care. Look in my gallery for pics of them on the truck.

I highly recomend Michelin tires. They are a little pricey but they are well worth the cost. They are very smooth, quiet, balance perfectly with little or sometimes even no weights and the quality is top noch. The superior quality makes them pricey and that is why they normally not an oem tire. You will not be disappointed with a michelin tire.

I also like the BGF ATs. I have them on my tahoe and they are excellent with traction and road noise. I alos like the Toyo ATs but those might be expensive.

BFG A/T's or Toyo A/T's would look nice. I would have gone with the BFG's but it seems that everyone here in SA has them (no offense saJeffc), so I went with a tire that I haven't seen to often here.

if you are staying with the stock size, I say get some Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos. They finally just came out in 275/65/18.

I 2nd that. I had a set of these on my 97 before trading with 55K on them. They still had good tread left. This is the tire that I will go with once the Wranglers wear out...which may not be too long.

I've had multiple sets, multiple sizes, on multiple vehicles. You can't go wrong w/ these.
