Talking I whine alot but I can't keep my foot out of it!

Anybody interested in hearing the Whipple Whine? I finally did a 0-90 launch today with the whipple. I would of gone to 100 but the radar detector saved my ****. My tires spun up to around 20mph, and by the looks of my video timeline when I was downloading it, I was at 7.2 seconds 0-60. The road surface was pretty slick, and you can hear where it comes off around 25 mph when it caught traction.

Not the best 0-60 time mostly due to me not knowing the best way to launch from a start. :o I'll have to try this again with somebody else holding the camcorder.

Anyhow, here is how she sounds...

It's a pretty loud S/C, but who really gives a crap when your truck pulls like that!

Nice clip! Gawd I love that sound. I did that crap constantly when I had the Lightning last year. No wonder it burned gas like an F16! The sound is worth it.

My last two tanks have been 12.5 mpg, and I have several of these whinning episodes during every tank. I used to get around 14mpg in Vegas driving, so it isn't too bad. I'm still in my break in period though, eventually I'll get a tank without several high RPM runs.

We leave Vegas on May 14th, and we will be driving north on I15 to Edmonton, AB. We are going to be on the move though. A 7X14 utility trailer will be in tow as well. We plan to do the 3650 mile trip in 3-4 days, so we might not have much time, but if you are in the area, we can try to hook up for a quick bite. We should be in Montana by early night on the 14th.

I am not trying to sound rude here but (I realize the EDGE might not be the most accurate timing device) my 0-60 is under seven seconds and I don't exactly have a power adder as you can see. Could your extra weight (scab vs. screw) really be slowing you down that much? I suppose excess wheel spin could be the culprit.

Also, not to hijack your thread or anything but I was just looking at your cardomain site and I really love your tailgate. I have a few questions about it:
- How many parts are involved and how much did the entire swap cost?
- Are those lights or just reflectors on the tailgate?
- Could the Lincon emblem be removed with a heatgun or is it bolted on? Also is it endented into the tailgate similar to where the Ford emblem is on our tailgates?

If it isn't too ridiculously expensive I think that would make a huge aesthetic difference to our trucks. I would preferably want no emblem whatsoever on the back, if there is an indention I would look in to getting shaved.
