Out with the old, in with the new...

Old hotness : 04 F150 CrewCab FX4
New hotness : 06 F250 SuperCab PSD Lariat FX4

First off, I got very tired of the black on black here in the Northwest. Second, the console shifter was a nice option, it just ended up not being what I really wanted or needed in a truck for a few reasons. Thirdly, they couldn't fix the tailgate squeek that was driving me nuts. Lastly, it was developing a noise like it had before making it almost sound lightly like a diesel...previously they replace some variable cam timing sensor or something. I just didn't want to go through all that again, even under warranty. They gave me a "decent" deal on this 250 (has 7800 miles), but gave me 4k above KBB on my trade in while paying off my trade. So, needless to say, I went down in cabin volume, up in payload and bed size, and way up in engine. I think the only options it doesn't have are the "upfitter" switches (OEM switches for whatever you choose to use them for), and a moonroof. The rest is all there...enjoy, I know I will. Oh yeah, and it barely fits in my garage, and by barely, I mean I can't open the garage and walk into the garage when the truck is in there.

So, I'm not sure you'll be seeing or hearing much from me anymore, but ya never know It's been great and I'm sure I'll hang around, will just be more quiet. Met some great people, some incredible companies, and seen some incredible trucks, good times...now I'll have to see what parts I never got around to installing that I can sell.

Damn, that's nice! Looks like you have to air down the tires to get that baby under the garage door Do they still have the solid front axles on the new 4x4's? Can't tell from the pics.

Yeah, it will BARELY fit into the garage w/ regards to height, but not lengthwise And yeah, I believe it does have a solid front axle still, but instead of leaf springs like previous years it has radius arms and coilovers allowing tighter turning radius. That's something new to 2006, maybe 2005 for the SuperDuty. I'm thoroughly pleased with it, but I think my neighbors are going to hate it. Hehehe...

That is an absolutely gorgeous Super Duty -- I love the rim and tire combination! While I have absolutely no practical use for those "big" trucks, I have to admit they are cool to look at!

that sure is a purdy truck there- man thats gonna be a blast getting dirty with those muds stickin out!!! and yes answering your front suspension comment- the 05's also feature coilovers rather than front leafs. (our 250 KR has coilovers with rancho 5000's stock)

congrats,
