Arrow re-gearing

I'm adding this new thread just to catch the attention of some people for reassurance. I have a 2.5" Leveling Kit, soon to add a 3" body lift (purchased just waiting to be installed), 285/70/17's (will move to 35's when body lift is installed). Based on what I've been reading and searching through....I have come to the conclusion that I should gear up to 4.56's. Is that correct?

Yes, That would be the right thing to do, this way you dont lose your bottom end and put unnessecery strain on your drive train.

Yup... i have the daystar w/ 33's and my 4.56 motive gears are on my appartment floor waiting to get installed....i will eventually be going / a body lift and 35's.... 4.56's are the right gears for 33' tires and up... well to a point haha!

re-gearing is a good idea almost a must for larger tires, but i would recomend a 4.10 set up if your going to be doing any highway driving. mpg's will dissapear at higher speeds. 4.56's would be great off the line though.

my truck is pretty responsive with my stock gears ever since i tuned it to work with my 35" tires you may want to try that first if money is issue as it was for me!

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm a bit of a show off when it comes to my truck so I'll probably say screw the MPG's and get the 4.56's for a little better kick.

Thanks again all!

Well...I have one more question to add to this...what about getting this?

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=1674

Would I be even more better off getting that part plus up-gearing?
