Saleen Headlights

Has anyone seen the Saleen F-150 in peson? It looks like the headlights are the same as the Harley headlights, but w/ dark silver inside instead of black.

Also, the grille looks the same as the HD, but in black. I wonder if Saleen sells those parts individually and how much they want for them.

I was thinking the same thing, I really like that grill, and the headlights do look like a light h/d. but in looking at some other pics, im wondering if there just isnt a shadow on the headlights. if you look, there is a shadow that is noticable right around the headlight, hood, bumper. I dont know, just my .02

Well I just emailed them asking for parts/price lists and/or a catalog and dropped my Ford relationship so we'll see what they say.

I see what you're saying about the shadow, but the inside of the parking lamp and headlamp looks brighter (more chrome) than the rest of the inside of the headlight. We'll see.

I recall asinatra saying something about a gray/silver HD model coming out in the future awhile back. Can't remember specifics but maybe there will be gray/silver OEMs sometime in the future. For those who don't like chrome (me!) or black maybe there'll be a third option soon.

The Saleen lights is supposed to have HID, or at least as an option. Let us know if you find out a price.

That looks like just the regualr chrome housing to me. It's just the way the picture it taken.

They are indeed different.
Take a close look at them. They use a different reflector alltogether. Its almost like a new inset reflector. Also notice the trapizoidal pieve at the 6'oclock position which is probably cosmetic but would also serve as a glare reducer. Also the 3'oclock position shows a pieve in there which is probably cosmetic. Makes the unit look much different and mechanical.

My guess is that the HID used in Saleen Mustang will be in Saleen F150

Nope, no word yet.

I even sent them the message from my Ford email. Hmmm... maybe that's why they're not answering me!

I like that grille too. I just ordered a silver FX4 w/ the dark shadow grey two-tone paint. I was thinking that grille (or Harley grille) would look good on my truck painted dk. shadow grey.

Also, someone mentioned in this thread that the Saleen headlights look like regular headlights and I think they're right. While there's definately something going on inside w/ that extra reflector (probably HID) I think they are just regular chrome. I believe it's just the picture making them look silver inside. Look at the pictures of the Roush F-150 and they look the same as the Saleen ones, but they're just regular chrome.

My email to Saleen:
Dear Saleen Inc.,

Does your company sell parts from the Saleen F-150 individually? I'm particularly interested in the headlights, grille, and hood. Does the silver F-150 on your web site feature HID headlights and are HID headlights standard? Also, I am a Ford Motor Company employee if there is any chance of a discount. If there is a parts catalog available I would be interested in one as well.

Their response:
The truck will not be available till sometime in late august at this time there are only 2 demo trucks that are built, we should have every single part available for sale once the truck gets put into production. And yes you should receive some sort of discount just let the person know when taking your order

Thanks!
