Are there any mods for the 3rd brake light? I was thinking about tinting mine w/ some VHT Night Shades paint. I've seen some do their tail lights with that stuff and it came out good.

 

I tinted mine and have seen a few others here do the same. I didn't use niteshades since I couldn't find it locally and I'm only semi satisfied with what I did use. I tried window tinting model paint. It's ok, but has a purplish tint to it so I went ahead and ordered some niteshades. Whichever one turns out better is the one I'll go with. Also picked up a can of transparent black Krylon and didn't care for it. Originally I tried to separate the lense and housing and failed, I wanted to paint the inside chrome black. I just can't stand the look of the chrome.

 

Hey scorp, any pics of what you've done so far? I hate mine too. By the way, did you get that bumper on yet?

 

My main objective was to get as close to the tint of the back window. Here's a couple of pics:





FX4, the bumper is still hanging out in the basement. I been sidetracked with so much stuff lately that I'm just getting the little things accomplished here n there. Next up is the 2" Autospring. Still looking around for a deal black rear. Once I find one of those and have some cash for it I can put them both on and see if they'll stay black or get painted to match. I'm leaning towards painting them but that's another $400 or so.
