4low
Im havin problems in 4-low, i thought that in 4 low all 4 wheels have power to them, i was out hill climbing this past weekend and on my first climb i was going up the hill, in 4 low i climbed the hill and not all the wheels had the power they would stop and go stop and go, and the rpms wouldnt keep up, seemed like it was cutting out, i have all this on video, about 8 minutes worth, just need to get the USB cable for the camera.
Not all 4 ever have power at the same time
In 4Hi or 4Lo power is sent to both axles. Both are open differentials, meaning on each axle the wheel with the lesser amount of traction gets the power; the one with more traction gets no power.
If you have a limited slip rear, it'll somewhat distribute power to both rear wheels. If you have a rear locker, both will get full power when locked.
I don't think you can get a limited diff. or locker for the front from the factory, so again, only 1 wheel, the one with the least traction, is going to spin on the front any any time in 4wd.

IS it normal to have any clunks go along with the power being cut off between axles? also about the engine cutting off at full throttle when climbing that first hill. it did it one more time and died while sittin at a pretty shallow incline. any ideas?
