Unhappy back from the body shop, but got some q's

got some questions for owners with more experience with body shops, people etc... im only 22.
okay, so we all know my truck and a dumpster had a meeting last week- picked it up yesterday- well they did a great job on the doors- they look new again. BUT and a big BUT, they f'd the paint at the edge of the cab, where the bed starts, and the front fender- the front fender looks like they were wet sanding my doors, and oops didnt notice they were off the door and on the edge of my fender- theres a 1/8" wide by 2" area right on the edge of the fender lip where it meets the front door. the second goof that bothers me is the end of the cab, where the s.cab door bends...this is where the bulk of the original damage was, and this place looks like they had a grinder pad on, and oops we slipped off the door and scratched up the cab- this ones gonna need some work, they are down to the primer.

what should i do, take it back, and say look-it, i just paid you $980 to fix my truck, not fix my truck, and give me some new damage? what do i do if they refuse to fix it-or want to charge me to fix it? (i paid the damage out of pocket the first round, no insurance)
thanks guys-

Justin

I would talk the owner/manager and point out the flaws. I'm sure they will take care if it, I would also not give up until it was completted to your standards. But, most importantly, when dealing with the owner/manager try to conduct yourself in a professional manner-- it will usually get you alot farther. Alot of people immediately fly off the handle and that puts the owner/manager on the defensive..
Good Luck, I'm sure they will make it right

Take it back and insist it be made right but like tcc said, it'll make a whole lot of difference in how you discuss it. It certainly is unexceptable and should be made right. If you had noticed the flaws and pointed them out and refused to drive it away it would have been easier to get it done BUT I would certainly
bring it right back. Good luck, let us know what comes of it will ya ?..

I'd take it back to the dealer, I'm pretty sure they can fix there mistakes.

If not, take them to Judge Judy That lady would tear them to peaces! lol!!

well, i picked it up friday around noon- they werent expecting me so early- it was just being washed for final detail but i showed up- i think they just ran it thru the wash to get it to me even though it wasnt done. the truck was all wet, and they had only vacuumed the floors- and hadnt finished anything- there was black paint mist, and compound dust everywhere on the interior- so i didnt notice the screwups until later on friday when it was dry. i called them right away when i saw it saying there were some things that didnt seem right and if i could bring it in first thing monday (as they were closing in 30 mins & i was busy) i'll see if i can get some pics taken in a little bit

Well, thanks guys- took it back this morning- talked with the manager for a bit, took a look at it- "hmm, thats not right" well, duh- so he gladly took my truck, and will be done with all the blemishes by 5.
appreciate the help,

Justin
