Yup, hairdryer will do the trick. If you've got any adhesive residue a soft cloth and some isopropal alcholol will clean it right up. One little warning, if these stickers have been on for a while, you might see their outline on your paint. This is from the microscratches and all that occur from normal use of our vehicles. I noticed this on my wife's 01 blue F150 when she finally decided she wanted those dumb *** 4x4 decals removed. A little glaze and elbow grease and they were GONE....

Hair dryer...

I made the dealer take it off before taking possesion of the truck. Though I did offer him the opportunity to pay me 25k a year to advertise for him.

He took it off...

We tell the dealers on every car we buy not to put any advertising on our cars. Some dealers around us paint there nane on the back of there cars.

I did what WaWaTuSi did. I didn't ask for that much though. No dealer anything on my truck. Actually a lot of dealers I've seen have done away with their decals, stickers, etc., and gone to a license plate surround with their dealer name on it. Easy to change.....

I always wondered about those dealer tags....I've seen a lot from back East and a few from the Midwest where the dealer actually rivets a badge to the trunk lid....and many have begun rusting where the rivets were installed.....I'd refuse delivery on any car or truck where the dealer did that!! It's not as common now and I've never seen practice this here on the West coast. I'm so picky about stickers - I immediately remove all of the "automaker liability" stickers from my new vehicles. The ones on the visors are the worst - but nothing a bit of effort and a hair dryer wont take care of

If you have a "Plaque" style dealer emblem, use fishing line back and fourth slowly behind it. This will slowly cut through the adhesive tape until the emblem falls off.....get the residual stuff off with Goo Gone, or WD40.

When I ordered my truck I told the dealer I didnt want anyone to do anything to it. Especially wash it or put any kind of stickers on it.

take it back to the dealer, and tell them if they dont take it off, they can make your monthly truck payment. then they can write that off as advertising, since thats what it is! I told my dealer that, and the sales manager took my keys right there, about 15 min later my truck was waiting for me sticker free!

I bought my truck from a dealer that doesn't put stickers on their vehicles......anymore. They just use those plate surrounds.

I always tell them to not stick anything on it before I even pick it up. The place I bought my truck from puts them on in the dumbest location on the tailgate. Looks ridiculous in the bottom left corner.

The way these places don't even care anymore is what annoys me. My dad didn't ask for it to not be put on his car and they slapped it on the back crooked. Looks so stupid.
