Rancho shocks....
Rancho shocks....
I have a Rancho 4" lift with RS9000X shocks.
Last month in Death Valley I destroyed the adjuster on the right rear and dented the shock cylinder. I was going slow but caught a boulder in a tight turn. The adjuster is oriented forward and just asking for trouble. I just bought a new one on Monday.
Last weekend I blew out the front right shock when I took my wife out mud puddle jumping. I didn't know it until today. I drove it down the freeway and almost got seasick. I checked it out and the shock blew oil all over under the fender well.
I wanted to get away from Rancho but I can't find any other replacements from other manufacturers like Bilstein, pro-comp etc.... because of the lift kit.
So I'm basically stuck with Rancho shocks. I paid for the rear but the front will be replaced under warranty.
I hate being stuck with only one brand and real viable options.
