Does it blink to corespond with your turn signals and does it stay on all the time or is it only on when you have the brakes depressed?

It blinks with turn signals and emergencies, it acts as running lights so when u have your lights on they come on, and its brake lights so when u step on the brakes it gets brighter. Its exactly like brake lights, you can either plug it into the trailer harness thing or you can splice into the wire for the trailer hitch harness so you can have a free'd up harness.

When I first saw these all I could think was that it was too much and ricey. To tell you the truth, I've kind of started thinking they look ok and would be a great safety add.

I felt the same way. Especially after I tinted my taillights.

Looks great man, I have one myself. It was the first thing I done to my truck as well. Its very easy and its a major safety addition. It corresponds to turn signals, flashers, and brakes and just plugs into the trailer brake connection. Its tucked away to where you cannot see it in the daytime, only when its lit up. Nice man.

They've got a new kind that lights up white when you reverse (Saw it in the new Stylinconcepts Sport Truck catalog). I highly doubt it casts any appreciable light, but it would look kinda cool. They call it "fire and ice".

Yeah I saw a truck on the road today that looked like it was burned out too. I was looking at a 2006 truck at work and it had that "post", but my 2004 doesn't have it. It only has the spot in the bed where the "post" goes into when you open the tailgate. Not sure what that is for. It looks like it may just be something to keep your tailgate from popping off if you drive with it open; the post would come up and hit the bed before the tailgate came out of it's slotted hinge.
