Add a leaf and Rancho RS9000X
Add a leaf and Rancho RS9000X
I wanted to run this by a few of you and collect you thoughts.
There are a few trucks on the board that are running add a leafs by pro comp or skyjacker along with a leaving kit from autospring or daystar. I currently have a autospring 2.0 spacer. By the way, if you have pics of this setup please post up.
I bought two of the Rancho (RS99287) for the rear along with the skyjacker add a leaf. I desided against the (RS99286) which is the stock replacement after calling Rancho. Here is why...
The rancho make the (RS99287) for their 4" lift kit.
It comes with a 4" block to replace the factory 2" block.
Yielding only 2" of lift accourding to Rancho.
The 1.5 add a leaf by skyjacker.
It gives 2" of life on top of the factory 2" block.
Yielding only 2" of lift accourding to skyjacker.
SO I got the (RS99287's) because Rancho recommended these with this setup.
My questions are:
Are others running this type of setup?
Are others using a replacement shock or still using the factory without issue?
Does the ride quality change much?
Thanks,

I've got a 05 Screw 4x4 with the Autospring 2.5" leveling kit. Seemed at times like the nose was high (optical illusion or something) any way since I pull a 20" boat during the summer I didn't want the rear end sagging. I just bought the Skyjacker 1.5 add a leafs inorder to off set this. They go on tomorrow.
I ran a post asking about replacing the OEM shocks with longer aftermarket one and was told I'd be okay with the stockers, unless I do some major offroading where the wheel travel becomes an issue.
Guess I will find out in the morning.

I'm running the 2 in AS and the add-a-leaf. I replaced the shocks before the add-a-leaf so dont know if they would of worked with the stock ones. The ride didn't change for me just trying to get something out of the bed sucks a little. but I think it really made the truck look beter. I have some pics in my gallery
