two people that i know of have switched from 04-05 rectangular lights to the 06-08 circular lights. (all 06-08 had circle lights if they had lights at all).

you will need bumper, upper bumper (painted piece) lights, switch, harness if you dont already have it. its alot of money to just have circle lights over square.

So where do you get these parts you speak of. Really, i just want to know if the rounded lights bumper will fit an 04-05 f150 or would i need to buy extra mounts and brackets?

bumpers/lights

I'd like to know that too. Will an 06 or later bumper with round fog lights fit an 04 with rectangular fog lights? If so, I have an new never mounted 04 bumper I would like to swap or sell.

Yes, it will fit. You will need the 06-08 fog light bumper, the round fogs, and the fog light brackets. Also some of the bumper brackets are different between the square light and round light bumpers.

FX4&Excursion did this exact swap on his 05 FX4 and he did a write up with all the part #'s needed.

I have complete set of bumper brackets for 06-up as well as hood stops and upper bumper cover (factory black clearcoat). All you would need additionally to make it fit is the actual bumper w/round holes, fog lights and fog light brackets.) If anyone is looking to upgrade their older truck to rounds, let me know I'd sell for $100 picked up. (in MD)

You need to make an ad in the Classifieds instead of posting that here.

i ve been reading up/ doing some searching on the bumper swap

and i ve been getting mixed answers on upper bumper covers,

and i would just like to double check, that if you go from 06+ to an 04 or 05 you will need a new upper bumper cover, but if you go from an 04/05 to 06+ you won't need a new upper bumper cover ???

so to put an 06 bumper on my 05 , i will not need a new bumper cover

just making sure to get a rough estimate of cost

so far its about $175 for the brackets and fog lights minus the bumper
